Elderly man rescued from locked car in Sandakan


KOTA KINABALU: An elderly man who was locked inside a car in Sandakan was rescued by the public on Monday (Feb 27).

The Fire and Rescue Department said it received a report on the incident at Jalan Checkpoint Batu 32 at 9.43am.

By the time the Beluran Fire and Rescue team arrived at the location, the public had helped to rescue the trapped victim, 77.

“The team provided preliminary treatment and stabilised the victim, before he was handed over to the ambulance to be brought to the Beluran Hospital for further treatment.

“The operation ended at 10.28am,” said a Fire and Rescue spokesman.
