JOHOR BARU: Johor Umno youth chief Mohd Hairi Mad Shah has announced that he will be contesting for the Johor Baru division chief post in the upcoming party polls.

"I, Mohd Hairi, humbly offer myself to run as Johor Baru Umno division chief to continue Shahrir's legacy in terms of welfare and service to the people.
"I made the decision after discussing with my family and friends to ensure Shahrir's legacy that has helped the community to ensure they remain competitive within Johor Baru," he said in a statement here on Friday (Feb 17).
The state youth, sports, entrepreneur, cooperatives development and human resources committee chairman added that he was hopeful to get the support from the division.
