Man drowns after swimming with friends at Sungai Pisang, Gombak


PETALING JAYA: A man was believed to have drowned after swimming with a friend in Sungai Pisang in Gombak, Selangor.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis, when contacted, said that the incident saw one survivor that was rescued at around 8.30pm on Sunday (Feb 12).

It is believed that the drowned victim was washed away by water currents due to the heavy rain.

Search and rescue operations will resume on Monday (Feb 13) morning.
