Six GROs nabbed for allegedly supplying drugs at KL night club

KUALA LUMPUR: Six guest relation officers (GRO) were arrested for allegedly supplying drugs after police raided a night club here.

Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) through its Facebook page said the six were among 38 people who were checked following the raid.

"We checked these individuals and found that six foreign women were working as GRO there.

"Upon further checks we also believe that the six women were also distributing drugs," the NCID said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 7).

It added that the six women were arrested for drug trafficking and immigration offences.

"We also seized 1,620ml of juice suspected to be spiked with methamphetamines, 133 packets of MDMA weighing 2,069 grams and one transparent plastic packet containing 31 grams of methamphetamines.

"The estimated total value of this drug seizure is RM43,750," it said.

The NCID urged the public to continue to channel information related to drug trafficking activities through its hotline at 012-208 7222.
