Oranges and fresh flowers seized from foreign ferry arrivals in Johor


PENGERANG: Several ferry passengers from Singapore and Indonesia were given warnings for bringing in boxes of mandarin oranges and fresh flowers into the country without permit.

Johor Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department (Maqis) director Edie Putra Md Yusof said bouquets of flowers and about 15kg of mandarin oranges were found during random inspections at the Tanjung Pengelih Ferry Terminal on Thursday (Feb 2).
