Sri Ram was always generous with his knowledge, says AG Idrus

PETALING JAYA: The late Datuk Gopal Sri Ram was always willing to impart knowledge, says Attorney General Tan Sri Idrus Harun.

He also paid tribute to Sri Ram as a personal friend who he had known for over four decades.

"We have indeed lost a great legal mind and senior practitioner.

"I have known him personally since 1980 when I was a Senior Assistant Registrar.

"I found him to be very courteous, humble and always willing to share his immense legal knowledge, qualities which he always carried.

"I express my deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time," said Idrus in a text.

The former Federal Court judge and renowned senior lawyer Sri Ram passed away at the age of 79 on Sunday (Jan 29).

He had been admitted to the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 18 for a lung infection.
