MOHE to assist flood-affected IPT students

MELAKA: The Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) will look into the forms of assistance that can be channelled to students in higher learning institutions (IPT) who are affected by floods in several states.

Its Deputy Minister Datuk Mohammad Yusof Apdal said the ministry would soon gather information on the number of students involved and the kind of assistance required.

“MOHE will usually distribute aid to students or undergraduates affected by disasters, including floods, and we also have volunteers to help them.

“We will find out first what their problems are following the floods. Should their living conditions be uncomfortable, we will find suitable places for them,” he told Bernama.
