KJ sacked from Umno, Hishammuddin suspended, say sources


KUALA LUMPUR: Former Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin has been sacked from Umno, while former party vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has been suspended, according to party sources.

It is learnt that Hishammuddin, former Umno information chief Shahril Hamdan, Datuk Dr Fathul Bari Mat Jahya, Datuk Maulizan Bujang and Datuk Seri Mohd Salim Mohd Shariff were also suspended for six years, according to the source who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Earlier, former Tanjung Karang MP Tan Sri Noh Omar was suspended by the party and then later requested to be sacked.
