Firemen rescue three people after their car nosedives into Labis lake


SEGAMAT: Three people were rescued by the Fire and Rescue Department after their vehicle crashed into a lake at Jalan Impian, Taman Impian, Labis, here.

Labis Fire and Rescue Department operation commander Inggai Bakau said that the victims, aged between 13 and 23, were heading toward Segamat before the driver lost control of his vehicle.

"The incident occurred at 1.51pm on Tuesday (Jan 24). It was raining during the incident, and the road was slippery, causing the car to dive into the lake.

"All of the victims only suffered minor injuries and have been rescued," he said when contacted.

He added that five personnel were deployed to the location for the rescue mission, and all the victims have been sent to Segamat Hospital for treatment.
