Cop in critical condition after falling from building in Lumut


IPOH: A policeman is admitted into the intensive care unit after falling from a four-storey building in Lumut.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the policeman, 38, was supposed to get married on the same day of the incident, which occurred on Monday (Jan 23) at 5.45am.

“The sergeant major is stationed in Pahang and was on leave for his wedding in Ayer Tawar.

“He was found by the public who then made a distress call,” Comm Mohd Yusri said in a statement Tuesday (Jan 24).

“He is currently in critical condition and has been admitted to Hospital Manjung.

“We are still in the dark about what actually happened and are currently investigating the motive of the incident,” Comm Mohd Yusri added.
