PUTRAJAYA: The Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) and the Selangor state government have succeeded in their appeals to reinstate a 37-year-old woman's conversion to Islam.
In a 2-1 majority decision, the Court of Appeal bench chaired by Justice Datuk Yaacob Md Sam on Friday (Jan 13) allowed the appeals to set aside the High Court's decision that nullified the woman's conversion.
