PETALING JAYA: Malaysia detected 405 new Covid-19 infections on Sunday (Jan 8), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 5,030,313 since the pandemic began.
The Health Ministry's KKMNow portal reported that 397 of Sunday's new infections were locally transmitted while there were eight imported cases.
