PETALING JAYA: Let bygones be bygones as Malaysians should look forward to the new year with optimism, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president said Malaysians had gone through ups and downs in 2022.

“Let all the bad things be buried in the past and welcome a prosperous 2023 with new aspirations and resolutions. No matter what happened, what is important is that all of us stay united as Malaysians,” he said in a video posted on his social media site.

The Ayer Hitam MP, who ushered in 2023 at Dataran Gemilang Yong Peng in Johor with 500 revellers, wished all Malaysians a Happy New Year.

“Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2023!

“May the new year bring us happiness and greater success!” he said in another New Year greeting.
