Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun-fat appears to be in good spirits as he finished a 10km cross country race recently and was even seen cracking jokes with other participants, reported Sin Chew Daily. The 67-year-old finished the race in just 56 minutes and 39 seconds, ranking 37 out of 41 in the men’s category.

Many people commented that it was an impressive result for someone his age.

When a group of participants asked for a photo with the actor, Chow joked that he was happy to oblige as long as “No one is allowed to run ahead of me!”

Chow is famous for being friendly with fans and would often be seen on public transport and shopping for groceries at the market on his own.

He is best known for his roles as Sao Feng in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and Li Mu-bai in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Chow was banned from working in mainland China after he voiced support for the 2019-2020 Hong Kong protests.

> The paper also reported on a videoclip of rats foraging for food at a hawker stall which went viral online.

The 19-second video, which was believed to be taken at a hawker centre in Kuantan, showed three rats scurrying at a food stall selling noodles.

When interviewed, the stall operator He Yu Jin, 68, explained that the venue does not have a rat problem and this was a one-off incident.

He believed the rats were at the hawker centre after the nearby drains became flooded due to heavy rain last week.

“Based on the video, I think the incident happened in the morning before I started opening my stall that day.

“When my friend showed me the video of the rats, I thoroughly cleaned everything again before starting my business,” he said.

> Hong Kong actress Jacqueline Wong, whose alleged cheating scandal with married singer Andy Hui rocked the entertainment scene in 2019, appears to be happy in her new relationship with musician Lai Man Wang, reported Sin Chew Daily. The two were recently seen in a video watching a FIFA World Cup match over the weekend at the home of radio DJ Jessica Ho.

The 33-year-old recently admitted to being in a relationship with Lai, who is the drummer in the Cantopop group Rubber Band, and confirmed that they have moved in together.
