Senior stabbed to death for having an affair

KAJANG: A 71-year-old man who was alone in the car with somebody else’s wife ended up being stabbed to death.

Apparently, the woman’s husband was angry that his wife got close to the man.

“The husband later said that he had hurt the victim at the carpark of a supermarket here,” said Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan.

The fatal stabbing, which happened on Friday, led to two people being arrested the following day, he said in a statement yesterday.

Police believe the woman and the victim were having an affair for the past five months.

A 45-year-old woman, who had brought the victim to the hospital, was arrested, as was her 51-year-old husband.

The couple have been remanded until Dec 2 for further investigations.

ACP Mohd Zaid said the victim was brought to Hospital Serdang by a female friend at 6.30pm that day.

“He had injuries to the shoulder and thigh areas from the stabbing,” he said.

“He told a medical officer who attended to him that he was attacked at a supermarket in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn.”

However, the man was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11.05pm.

ACP Mohd Zaid said that several items were seized including a car, four handphones, the clothes worn by the suspect that contained blood stains, and a receipt for a knife.
