GE15: BN and Pakatan leaders spotted entering Seri Pacific Hotel

KUALA LUMPUR: A meeting is believed to be going on among top Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan leaders at a hotel here on Monday (Nov 21) morning.

Several leaders were seen arriving at the Seri Pacific Hotel including Umno vice president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, and supreme council member Datuk Seri Shamsul Annuar Nasarah.

At 10.30am, Pakatan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived. He waved to reporters staked out there, and entered the hotel without making any comments.

On the Pakatan side, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution were spotted at the lobby.

The King had given a deadline of 2pm on Monday for coalitions and political parties to form a government and present a candidate to be the Prime Minister, says Istana Negara.

Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the King has tasked Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun to consult the political parties and coalitions which have gained the most seats to form the next government by Monday afternoon at the latest.
