GE15: Statement claiming Zahid supports Anwar as PM is fake

IPOH: A statement allegedly by Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi supporting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to be the Prime Minister is fake.

Ahmad Zahid's media team shot it down when asked about its authenticity.

His media director Major General (R) Datuk Fadzlette Othman Merican Idris Merican said only the statement that was issued following the 15th General Election on Saturday (Nov 19) was official.

In the statement dated Nov 18 allegedly signed by both Ahmad Zahid and Anwar, it is claimed that Barisan Nasional would be working with Pakatan Harapan to form the government and that it agreed to make Anwar the Prime Minister.
