GE15: PH first-timer Lim wins in Tanjong


GEORGE TOWN: Pakatan Harapan's Tanjong candidate Lim Hui Ying polled 31,968 votes to win the parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election.

The first-timer beat Tan Kim Nee of Barisan Nasional and H'ng Khoon Leng of Perikatan Nasional.

Hui Ying left her service centre in Burma Road here at about 10pm on Saturday (Nov 19) for Dewan Sri Pinang where she was declared the winner by the Election Commission.

She was accompanied by her father, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang, and mother Neo Yok Tee, 82.
