PETALING JAYA: With five more days left till polling, Khairy Jamaluddin has told voters in Sungai Buloh to concentrate on who they want to represent them and not be misled by allegations that "a vote for him is for other people".

"Don't have to think of other people, your vote is for me. Vote me in as an MP and I will take good care of Sungai Buloh," The Barisan Nasional-Umno candidate for the Sungai Buloh parliamentary constituency told the gathered crowd in Uptown in Kota Damansara on Monday (Nov 14).

Khairy, who is also Health Minister, also reiterated that he could possibly be prime minister one day.

"God-willing, with your support, I want to be a prime minister from Sungai Buloh," he told the crowd.

He said Barisan is able to bring about change in Sungai Buloh and they would be able to solve issues that the three-term Pakatan Harapan Selangor state government could not.

"We are brave to bring about change and I have tabled my plans.

"Those aren't promises of moon and stars but a plan for locals in Sungai Buloh," said Khairy.

He also said he was touched by the support he had received from locals and promised to dedicate his heart and soul to Sungai Buloh if elected.

"Let's bring the winds of change and on Nov 19, let the winds become a typhoon in Sungai Buloh," added Khairy.

Khairy will be locked in a seven-cornered fight against PKR's R. Ramanan, Perikatan Nasional's Mohd Ghazali Md Hamin, Parti Rakyat Malaysia's Ahmad Zuhri Faisal, Pejuang's Mohd Akmal Mohd Yusoff and Independents Mohd Akmal Mohd Yusoff and Syed Razak Alsagoff.

Polling will be on Saturday (Nov 19), while early voting takes place on Tuesday (Nov 15).

Polling will be on Nov 19, while early voting has been set at Nov 15.
