Covid-19 Watch: 2,234 new cases, says Health Ministry


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 2,234 new Covid-19 infections on Sunday (Nov 13), says the Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Monday (Nov 14) that this brings the new total to 4,948,817 cases since the pandemic began.

Of the 2,234, two are imported cases while 2,232 are local.

The ministry also said through its KKMNow portal that there were 3,868 recoveries on Sunday, bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 29,605.

Of the active cases, 93.5% or 27,666 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 6.2% of active cases or 1,848 individuals need to be hospitalised, with 91 warded in intensive care units (ICU) throughout the country.

Of that number, 57 require ventilator support.
