KUCHING: Any evidence of bribery during the postal voting process in Bera, Pahang will be handed over to the Election Commission (EC), says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"The EC has asked me for information and I will give it to them.
"This matter should be investigated and this is what we are asking," he told reporters after announcing Pakatan Harapan's pledges for Sarawak here on Saturday (Nov 12).
The Pakatan chairman had claimed to have evidence of vote-buying on Friday (Nov 11).
He alleged that military personnel and postal voters in Bera had already cast their votes for GE15.
He also claimed that the military personnel involved were paid RM300 each.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is defending his Bera seat, said the allegations were lies and malicious accusations against the Armed Forces.
He called on Anwar to retract his accusation and apologise to military personnel.
In response, the EC said anyone with information or evidence of bribery or corruption in the postal voting process should report it to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
