PETALING JAYA: Flash floods have struck a number of areas in the Klang Valley following the late afternoon downpour on Friday (Nov 11), with social media users posting images and videos to show the conditions.
At 5.30pm, the Irrigation and Drainage Department recorded 38mm of rainfall at Kampung Simpang Tiga in Gombak.

Rainfall in parts of the Klang Valley is expected to continue into the night, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department’s forecast.
The Environment and Water Ministry has also issued a flood preparedness warning for several locations in the Klang Valley.
In Selangor, areas within the Petaling district are: Kampung Tengah A, Kuala Sungai Baru, Kg Bersatu Baru, Kg Subang Melayu, TTDI Jaya, Kg Aman Bestari, Kg Sri Aman Berkat, Kg Bukit Lanchong, KTM Batu 3, Seksyen 13 Shah Alam, Kg Kenangan Puchong, Taman Mesra, Sungai Besi Expressway (Besraya), Seri Kembangan and Kompleks Jabatan Pertanian Serdang.

Meanwhile, areas at risk in Klang include Kg Delek, Jalan Kebun Nanas, Taman Melawis, Teluk Pulai, Taman Petaling, Taman Sentosa, Taman Saujana, Taman Rashna, Kg Bukit Naga, Batu 8 Jalan Bukit Kemuning and Pandamaran,
In Kuala Lumpur, several locations and roads are at risk, including Bulatan Dato Onn-Bank Rakyat, Jalan Chan Sow Lin, Pekan Salak Selatan, Razak Mansion, Jalan Loke Yew, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Pudu, Jalan Tun Perak, Masjid Jamek, Universiti Malaya, Kg Pantai Dalam, Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan Maarof, Jalan Kia Peng and Jalan Leboh Pasar.
