Phase 4 BKM payments to be credited from Nov 15-18, says PM

PETALING JAYA: The payment for phase four of the Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) programme will be credited to recipients' accounts from Nov 15 to 18, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“For phase four of BKM, all recipients will be receiving up to RM900 according to their eligibility. This is the last outstanding payment for the amount earmarked for this year,” the caretaker Prime Minister said.

He said the decision to expedite the payment from December to November was made to help recipients face the imminent northeast monsoon which is expected to begin in mid-November.

Some 5.2 million recipients consisting of households and single senior citizens will benefit from the payment which is expected to total RM2.1bil.

A total of RM8bil was allocated for the 8.7 million BKM recipients for 2022.

Recipients can check their payment status from Nov 15 onwards.
