GE15: Tian Chua's to contest Batu as independent candidate


KUALA LUMPUR: Chua Tian Chang - better known as Tian Chua - will be contesting in the 15th General Election (GE15), running for the Batu parliamentary seat as an independent candidate.

The former PKR vice-president was spotted arriving at the Batu nomination centre at SMK Sentul Utama, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah at 8am on Saturday (Nov 5).

“I am here because I made a promise to Batu constituents in the 14th General Election that I would come back to see to their expectations. At this moment I have not resigned from PKR but I am prepared to face any action from the party,” he said.

Tian Chua arrived with supporters wearing white T-shirts saying “I’m back”, and the group chanted slogans including “Hidup Tian Chua”.
