GE15: Three-cornered fight for Ayer Hitam

AYER HITAM: It will be a three-cornered fight for the Ayer Hitam parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election (GE15).

MCA's Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong will be up against DAP's Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali and Bersatu's Muhammad Syafiq A. Aziz.

All three successfully filed their nomination at the Dewan Muafakat Ayer Hitam nomination centre here on Friday (Nov 5).

At 10.45am, returning officer Nur Faiz Jamil announced that their nomination papers were accepted and none were rejected.

The drizzle and cloudy weather also did not stop scores of supporters from gathering outside the nomination centre to voice support for their respective candidates.
