King, Queen congratulate Socso chief exec on election as ISSA president


KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah congratulate Social Security Organisation (Socso) chief executive Datuk Seri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed on his election as the 17th President of the International Social Security Association (ISSA).

According to a post on Istana Negara's official Facebook page Tuesday (Nov 1), Their Majesties expressed joy and pride at his success as the first Malaysian to hold the highest position in an international body and lead the field of social security at the global level.

Mohammed Azman will hold the post for three years from 2023.

"His success not only boosted Malaysia's name on the world stage, but also proved the world's trust in Malaysia's leadership in social security.

"It also proves that Malaysia is capable of producing quality leaders and of international standards," according to the Istana Negara post.

Their Majesties also wished Mohammed Azman the best of luck and continued success. - Bernama
