Kedah Amanah chairman sacked for violating party constitution

ALOR SETAR: Amanah has dismissed its Kedah chairman Datuk Phahrolrazi Mohd Zawawi for going against the interests of the party and violating its constitution.

Amanah secretary-general Datuk Dr Mohd Hatta Ramli in a statement on Sunday (Oct 30) said the party's national management committee had made the decision to dismiss Phahrolrazi after he was found to have violated the party's constitution, disobeyed party decisions and carried out acts that were against the interests of the party.

"Deputy chairman Datuk Dr Ismail Salleh will carry out the duties of the chairman for now.

"Both these decisions are to take effect immediately," he said in the statement.
