PETALING JAYA: The mother of PKR adviser Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has passed away.
Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the news of his mother-in-law Mariah Khamis’ passing, early Monday morning (Oct 24).
“I have just received the sad news that Wan Azizah’s mother passed away earlier this morning. The prayers are scheduled for 11.30am today at the Al Mustaqim mosque in Ampang,” he said in a statement at 8.42am.
He added that he was also unable to attend the Pakatan tour in Miri and Kuching which was scheduled for Oct 24, due to this.
“May we meet again at another time,” said Anwar to Sarawak Pakatan leaders and coalition party members.
