PM: 74,000 Felcra participants to receive RM181.5mil in taxable profits

TAPAH: A total of 74,949 Felcra Berhad participants would receive RM181.5mil in taxable profit this year.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the profit was made from successful Felcra projects.

“Through its various projects, Felcra was able to increase the value of 204ha land in rural areas, benefiting over 103,000 participants.

“The payment will be made in stages starting on Monday (Oct 17),” he said at Ramah Mesra programme with Felcra, Risda, Jakoa, Risda small farmers, Orang asli at Dewan Arena Merdeka here today.

Ismail Sabri added that Felcra was able to maintain a good performance, recording an increase of almost RM51mil or 38.1% compared to last year's performances.

Separately, he also announced that more than 600 Tok Batin in the country will receive special one-off aid.

“Tok Batin has played a big role towards the Orang Asli’s development in the country.

“Therefore, we have decided to give each of them a one-off RM1,000 to appreciate their hard work,” he said, adding that the total allocation is set at RM624,000.
