PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,712 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (Oct 16), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 4,867,192 infections since the pandemic began.
The Health Ministry's KKMNow portal reported that 1,710 of Sunday's new Covid-19 cases were local transmissions while two imported infections were logged.
