Budget 2023: Defence Ministry gets RM17.4bil allocation


PETALING JAYA: The Defence Ministry will get a total allocation of RM17.4bil, says Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.

The Finance Minister said RM4bil was for procurement and maintenance of Armed Forces assets and RM118mil for maintenance of Rumah Keluarga Angkatan Tentera (RKAT).

RM47mil has been allocated for two additional field hospitals in Kluang and Kota Kinabalu to face any national disaster.

Fifty ambulances will also be placed at army bases to assist in any disaster aid.
