Pakatan to use existing logo if GE15 called soon

KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan will head into the 15th General Election (GE15) with its existing logo if polls are called anytime soon, says the coalition’s chief Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He said Pakatan’s presidential council had initially agreed on a new logo for the coalition but has since decided to go with its existing logo due to time constraints as polls could be held soon.

“We have agreed on a new logo but since the situation is desperate, we will maintain the logo we used in GE14,” he told reporters at a press conference in Parliament after the Presidential Council meeting on Wednesday (Oct 5).

He explained that logistically, it would be difficult for Pakatan to make the necessary changes with regard to the logo within a short period.

Pakatan had said on Aug 25 that it would compete with one logo.

The Pakatan presidential council said, in a Facebook post on Aug 25, that a new design of the logo will also be considered to give a new image in the GE15 campaign.

In the Sarawak state polls, all Pakatan component parties had contested under their own party logos.
