Covid-19 Watch: 1,244 new cases bring total to 4,845,109


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,244 new Covid-19 cases on Monday (Oct 3), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 1,240 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 4 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,845,109 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 5 deaths were recorded on Monday with 2 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,380.
