Road users advised to use Bukit Kukus paired road after oil spill

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Fire and Rescue Department is cleaning up an oil spill at the intersection of Jalan Tun Sardon and Jalan Paya Terubong here.

Penang Island City Council in a Facebook post on Thursday (Sept 29) said the police also set up roadblocks at Relau and Jalan Paya Terubong to control traffic.

“There was a diesel spill incident at around 6pm on Thursday (Sept 29) at the intersection of Jalan Tun Sardon and Jalan Paya Terubong.

“All road users who want to go to Balik Pulau or to Paya Terubong or to Relau via Jalan Tun Sardon and Jalan Paya Terubong (the old route) and vice versa are advised to use the Bukit Kukus paired road as an alternative route,” it said.
