If Pakatan wins GE15, DAP will determine how country is run, says Saravanan

TAPAH: DAP will determine how the country is run even if Pakatan Harapan wins the 15th General Election (GE15) and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim becomes prime minister, says Datuk Seri M. Saravanan.

The Human Resources Minister said people need to realise that DAP will have the most seats if Pakatan wins the election, and the Federal Government could not be formed without the party.

"Between DAP, PKR, Amanah and Muda, who do you think will have more seats?

"DAP will have the most seats and it will decide how the country is run," he told a press conference after launching the Tapah Barisan Nasional 15th General Election machinery at Arena Merdeka here on Sunday (Sept 25).

"Anwar cannot become prime minister without the support from DAP.

"In the end, DAP will (be in) control even if he (Anwar) becomes the prime minister," he said.

"If Barisan wins, the prime minister will decide on everything," he added.

The Tapah MP was asked whether the coalition was confident of the possibility of facing DAP for the parliamentary seat in GE15.

Saravanan, who is also MIC deputy president, said DAP and Pakatan should no longer be given any more chances to run the country.

"We have seen what happened in the 22 months (Pakatan was in power) and how people had suffered.

"The people can judge which party is better suited to lead the country peacefully," he said.

"I could see a lot of Malaysians have realised only Barisan and Umno have the DNA to look after the welfare of the people, as seen in Johor and Melaka (state elections).

"People are showing faith in Barisan again," he added.

Also present were Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, Ayer Kuning assemblyman Datuk Samsudin Abu Hassan and Tapah Barisan and Umno chairman Ishsam Shahruddin.
