SHAH ALAM: Pakatan Harapan is targeting to conclude its seat allocations for the 15th General Election (GE15) by the end of the month, says DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke.
“Negotiations are ongoing and we have completed for some states but there are a few states which are under discussion.
“An announcement will be made once the negotiations are completed and endorsed by the Pakatan presidential council,” he said at a press conference after the party’s special congress here on Sunday (Sept 25).
Earlier, in his speech, Loke said discussions on seat allocations were being held on a weekly basis.
“In the process of negotiations, there must be the spirit of give and take, and the winnability factor has to be taken into account.
“As per the advice of the seniors, those asking must not be greedy, and those giving must not be stingy,” he said, adding that DAP’s national organising secretary Steven Sim is the party’s chief negotiator.
Loke said the presidential council has decided that Pakatan component parties will contest under a common logo.
He also said that there were no negotiations between Pakatan and any parties from Perikatan Nasional.
On Malaysian United Democratic Alliance’s (Muda) bid to work with Pakatan, he said the committee set up by the presidential council would meet their leaders led by Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman soon.
