Cops tracking down snatch thief who stole necklace in Setapak Jaya


KUALA LUMPUR: The police are tracking down a man who snatched a necklace in Setapak Jaya.

Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah said a video of the incident has since gone viral on social media and added that it occurred on Sept 20.

"The victim reported that a man on a motorcycle approached him and snatched his necklace. The suspect was wearing a red helmet and a dark shirt," he said when contacted on Sunday (Sept 25).

He said an investigation under Section 392 of the Penal Code has been opened.

"We urge those with information on the incident to come forward as soon as possible," he said.
