Salahuddin Ayub named new Johor Pakatan chairman


JOHOR BARU: Johor Pakatan Harapan has appointed Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub (pic) as its new chairman.

The Pulai MP and Simpang Jeram assemblyman replaced former Parit Yaani assemblyman Aminolhuda Hassan, who was also the state Amanah chairman.

Salahuddin would be assisted by three deputies, Aminolhuda, PKR’s Ledang MP Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh and state DAP chief Liew Chin Tong.

In a joint statement, state Pakatan said they held a meeting recently to update its leadership structure following PKR’s party election.

"From this meeting, Johor Pakatan has decided to appoint Salahuddin as its new chairman.

"Amanah’s Faizul Salleh will hold the post of secretary, PKR’s S. Gopalakrishnan is our treasurer while Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali would be our information chief," the statement read.
