Driver killed as trailer hauling garbage skids, overturns near Menora Tunnel on NSE


IPOH: The driver of a trailer that was carrying garbage was killed when the vehicle he was in skidded and overturned at KM257 northbound of the North-South Expressway near here.

According to a Fire and Rescue Department spokesman, the victim, identified as Budi Abdul Rahman, 52, was thrown out from the vehicle during the incident at about 5.40am on Monday (Sept 19).

"Medical personnel confirmed that he had died on the spot," he said in a statement, adding that the victim's body was handed over to the police for the next course of action.

The operation ended at about 7.40am.
