Motorcyclist killed after being hit by lorry in Johor


KULAI: A 22-year-old motorcyclist died on the spot after he was hit by a lorry while heading towards Johor Baru.

Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said the victim was riding along KM26 Jalan Johor Baru - Air Hitam when the incident took place at around 4pm on Wednesday (Sept 14).

“His motorcycle brushed against a brown Perodua Bezza, which was on the right side of the road.

“As a result, the victim fell to the left side of the road where he was hit by a lorry on the same lane.

“The victim suffered from severe head and body injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said.

Supt Tok said police are looking for the driver of the Perodua Bezza to aid in the investigation under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

He urged witnesses and members of the public with such information to get in touch with the police by heading to the Kulai police headquarters or by calling the investigating officer Insp Ahmad Sufian Abu Naim at 017-757 3507.
