Customs seize RM40mil drugs hidden in industrial moulding machines


NILAI: The Customs Department recorded its biggest seizure of the year when it confiscated 676kg of methamphetamine, estimated to be worth RM40.56mil at Port West in Port Klang on Sept 10.

Customs director-general Datuk Zazuli Johan said the confiscation was made when a Narcotics Branch team from the Department's headquarters searched a 40-foot container and found the drugs in tea packages wrapped in aluminium and hidden in an industrial machine.
