THREE boys who had to give up their studies due to poverty will be returning to school after their family received some much-needed help, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Tharmaraja, Hirash and Yoshwin who are 15, 10 and eight respectively are staying with their mother Mohana Selvi, 39, in Butterworth, Penang.

Penang Education Department chief assistant director Datuk Zulkafli Kamaruddin said the children were granted permission to enrol in their respective schools.

Tharmaraja said he was grateful to Zulkafli and Bagan Jermal assemblyman Soon Lip Chee who helped them return to school.

“Continuing my education has been a dream and I will make full use of this opportunity,” he said.

Mohana Selvi said her boys loved going to school but she was unable to send them because of financial struggles. Soon helped get them uniforms, books, shoes and other school essentials.
