Felcra to build integrated poultry complex, worth RM20mil, in Padang Terap

KUALA NERANG: A second Integrated Poultry Complex project, worth RM20mil, will be built by Felcra Bhd, an agency under the Rural Development Ministry(KPLB), in Padang Terap.

Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid (pic) said work on the project in Kampung Kubang Palas is scheduled to start at the end of the year and will be ready in October next year.

"When completed, the project will be able to provide job opportunities for local residents and boost our agro-food industry,” he told reporters when visiting the project site, covering 10 hectares, here Friday (Sept 9).

Also present were Felcra director Datuk Seri Ghazali Ibrahim and Felcra chief executive officer Datuk Mat Roni Zakaria.

Mahdzir said the project would be the second, with the first in Kampung Tanjung Seratus, Rompin, Pahang, and plans were afoot to also have a similar project in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, and Machang, in Kelantan. - Bernama
