KUALA LUMPUR: A High Court judge and a legal officer are among several people who will be questioned by the police over the leak of a “draft judgment” on the Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor’s corruption case.
“We have identified 10 witnesses that we will call up, and the remainder will be asked to provide their statements soon,” said OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai.
“Rest assured we will call all those involved. I cannot elaborate further as we are in the midst of our investigations,” he said yesterday.
The “leaked judgment” on the verdict of Rosmah’s corruption case involving the solar hybrid project appeared in a portal run by fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin that was published on Aug 26.
However, police said it was only a reference for the judge and not a final copy of the judgment delivered on Sept 1.
Police investigations began after the Federal Court chief registrar’s office lodged a report.
The matter is being investigated under the Official Secrets Act 1972.
Meanwhile, at a press conference earlier yesterday, ACP Beh said the police would also call PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli to give his statement over allegations he had made against special functions minister Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad on the alleged involvement of his “wife” in the littoral combat ship (LCS) project.
“We will be calling Rafizi sometime next week,” he said.
Rafizi had claimed that the minister has a wife named Zainab Mohd Salleh, who has been implicated in the alleged misappropriation of funds from the LCS project.
Abdul Latiff has denied it.
“I have no wife or wives named Zainab Mohd Salleh.
“None of my family members are involved in business involving the supply or construction of LCS ships,” he said in a Facebook post on Aug 26.
