Najib arrives at Kajang Prison after court upholds jail term


KAJANG: Datuk Seri Najib Razak arrived at the Kajang Prison here in a black SUV at around 6.10pm Tuesday (Aug 23) after the Federal Court upheld his conviction and sentence in the SRC International case.

He was escorted by the police from the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya.

The ex-premier will be serving his 12-year sentence.

Earlier, vehicles were seen making u-turns and not allowed to enter the vicinity of the prison compound.

Crowds could also be seen building up at the roadside at the entrance of the prison.
