She's not my wife, says minister Abdul Latiff on Rafizi's claims in LCS scandal


PETALING JAYA: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions) Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Ahmad (pic) denies that he is married to the woman named by Rafizi Ramli as being involved in the LCS scandal.

In a statement Monday (Aug 21), Abdul Latiff denied that Zainab Mohd Salleh was his wife.

"As a Cabinet minister, I am ready to give my full cooperation with the authorities in any further investigation," he said in his statement.

Abdul Latiff, who is the Mersing MP, served as deputy defence minister from 2008 to 2013 under Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who was the then defense minister. Abdul Latiff had defected from Umno to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) after the 14th General Election.
