Johor MCA all geared up for GE15, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: Johor MCA is all geared up for the 15th General Election (GE15), says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president said the party was determined to ensure a victory for Barisan Nasional.

Dr Wee, who chaired the Johor MCA GE15 machinery meeting on Friday (Aug 19), said the party would beef up efforts to gain support from the people.

"We will continue working and beef up efforts to gain support from the public in order for Barisan Nasional (BN) to be given the mandate and trust, and similar support as we had in the last Johor state election," he said in a Facebook post Friday.

The Transport Minister reminded MCA leaders and members not to get too complacent, saying that instead they should continue to work hard for Barisan's victory in the upcoming GE15.

Among those present during the meeting were Johor MCA deputy chairman Senator Datuk Lim Pay Hen and secretary Datuk Ng Keng Heng, state Youth leader Ling Tian Soon and MCA central committee members Tan Tuan Peng, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng, Lee Ting Han, Tan Chong and Tan Eng Meng.
