Senior citizen burned during Kota Belud fire


KOTA KINABALU: A 65-year-old woman suffered burns on her back during a fire that broke out at a house in Kota Belud Monday morning (Aug 15).

Dolim Parantis was given first aid before being sent to the hospital for further treatment, said a Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson.

A report on the fire came in at 10.14am, which described a house caught fire in Kampung Narinang there, located near Sekolah Kebangsaan Narinang.

"The blaze involved a two-storey house which was completely burnt down. Also destroyed were two motorcycles and a mini tractor. The fire was brought under control at 11.33am, and the operation ended at 11.55am," said the spokesman.
