Lorry driver crushed to death by his own vehicle in Sepang


SEPANG: A 62-year-old lorry driver was crushed to death by his own vehicle in a freak accident here.

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof, when contacted, said that the incident occurred at 5.36pm Thursday (Aug 11) at the Jalan Sierra 1 construction site here.

"The victim had left the site to head towards the highway. At the entrance of the construction site, he stopped his lorry to close the gate.

"The lorry that was parked then rolled backwards, crushing him. The victim died at the scene," he said.
