It's still Oct 28, says Tengku Zafrul on claims Budget 2023 will be brought forward


KUALA LUMPUR: The Finance Minister has dismissed rumours that the tabling of Budget 2023 would be brought forward.

Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said Budget 2023 will be tabled according to the Parliament's calendar on Oct 28.

"It's just mere rumours. According to my knowledge, it's still the same as the Parliament calendar on Oct 28.

"So far in the calendar, it's still Oct 28," he told the media.

He added that there are no changes yet and the official date remains.

Tengku Zafrul was speaking at the Veterans’ Association of Malaysian Armed Forces (PVATM) 100th anniversary celebration and KL Car Free Morning at Dataran Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur on Sunday (Aug 7).

Also in attendance was Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Mahadi Che Ngah and PVATM president Datuk Sharuddin Omar.
